Total Tax Burden One of Lowest in Area for Our Financially Stable District Families
In the Spring Edition of the Bridge in 2024, we shared with families who read this newsletter something you probably already know. In one year, not much has changed. The tax rate paid by the people who own homes and have good paying jobs in our area – The City of Bellbrook and Sugarcreek Township – are in a very reasonable range.

District Teachers Explore Other Options When it Comes to Classroom Funds
Early in March, the Greene County Career Center announced that three Bellbrook teachers won nearly $10,000 in grants to study career exploration in their classes. Another local foundation, the Bellbrook-Sugarcreek Education Foundation recently announced its spring classroom grants, too. Across the district, teachers often look for new and exciting ways to teach their students, keeping an eye on lowering the financial burden to the taxpayers.

Four Bellbrook High School students accomplished a feat most haven’t in a long time. Diana Duckro, Molly Janus and Makayla Skinner earned their Gold Awards through the Bellbrook Girl Scout troop 353 and Alyssa Browning earned her Gold Award as a member of Beavercreek Girl Scouts recently.

Holding, Jenkins Win Prestigious Scholarships for their Community Involvement
Two Bellbrook High School Students and their teachers were honored by McAfee Heating and Air with their You Can Count on Me Scholarship awards, recently. Seniors Alexis Holding and Emma Jenkins and teachers Josh Craig and Katie Bills-Tenney were the award recipients out of hundreds across the Dayton region. A total of 10 student winners were selected – two from Bellbrook.

WinterGuard, IPE Compete at Worlds; Earn Great Results
The WinterGuard and Indoor Percussion Ensemble once again completed very successful seasons, finishing their runs with invites to the WGI competitions. The WinterGuard finished its run with a 14th place finish in the Scholastic World finals at the University of Dayton on April 4, and the IPE made the semifinals at Truist Arena the week after.

Bellbrook High School and Stephen Bell Elementary once again renewed their status as a Purple Star school this year, meaning the district once again holds a Purple Star designation at each of its buildings.

Pair of Artists Win Awards From GEM Project Dayton
Congratulations to Bellbrook High School’s Ember-Marie Day and Bellbrook Middle School’s Audrey Cronin for the award-winning artistry they submitted to the GEM Project Dayton Art Contest for Suicide Prevention. Day earned an Emerging Artist Award and Cronin won a Radiant Ruby Award.
